Biography
Tom graduated with a 2.1 Hons in Philosophy from UEA in 2001 and since then has never looked forward, to anything so much as working in the media industry. Tom considers himself an actor/writer/producer/director, more or less in that order. He has made numerous shorts with likeminded, local filmmakers, befriended through his work as a floor runner on various TV projects. He also works in theatre, primarily as part of Axis Of Evil Productions, a multi-platform theatre/film company started in 2004 by Tom and 2 friends - all equally sick of their boring day jobs. The company has recently completed a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe and regularly seeks to offend Norwich locals with its unique brand of comedic and political film & theatre. Tom’s role at EC1 since joining in October 2007 has included research, finding vital documents, grabbing last minute shots with the Z1, script writing, arguing with Apple Macintosh, the odd bit of editing, losing documents, solving problems, finding new problems to solve, looking busy to improve morale and making the tea.

Interests
Interests: acting, filmmaking, script and story/novel writing, reading (though rarely seem to have the time for it these days!), watching films (to figure out how it should be done or, indeed, not done), watching TV while eating toast and/or peanut M&Ms; martial arts, related stunt work and music of all kinds – the closer to Manchester in origin the better.
